A truly independent service
Not mortgage brokers are independent. Because we are independent APF is able to offer you a truly unbiased view of the mortgage market.
Our independent status means that you can be confident that an adviser's recommendation will be the best solution for your needs. We offer a professional, fully independent service, for which we are remunerated in a combination of ways:
- Client fee: Initial discussions with an APF adviser are obligation free. When you choose to transact mortgage business through APF, a fee may be charged. In the case of a regular mortgage application a fee of up to 1% of the sum borrowed may be charged.
- Booking fee: A booking fee is typically charged on all mortgage products.
- Commission from insurance companies: This is paid to APF when a protection policy is arranged through us. The level of income we receive from insurance companies and lenders will be disclosed to you when a quotation is provided.
During your discussions with an adviser, you will discuss and agree the level and type of remuneration that APF should receive on successful completion. This is only payable if you choose to go ahead and arrange your mortgage with us. So importantly, you are free to meet an adviser for initial discussions on an obligation-free basis.
Each of our advisers is a highly trained expert on mortgages and they receive comprehensive support from our in-house technical support teams, to ensure that they have the latest market information at their fingertips.
When you meet with a APF adviser, they will take the time to find out about you - your income, financial circumstances and future plans - before making any recommendations. This is a detailed process, after which they will present their recommendations for mortgage products and repayment options, as well as discussing your mortgage protection needs. And being very familiar with each lender's underwriting criteria, your application will only be placed with providers whose criteria you are likely to meet.
Our Sales Associates
After your adviser assists in submitting the mortgage application, you will be assigned a Sales Associate to oversee the day-to-day processing of your mortgage application - with the objective being to minimise the amount of time you need to spend on paperwork. They will liaise directly with your solicitor, surveyor, lender and other parties involved in the application to ensure the mortgage and homebuying process runs as smoothly as possible.
All lenders require a valuation of the property to be carried out and in most cases, APF will instruct a valuer on your behalf as part our service to you. If you require a more detailed inspection such as a homebuyer's report
Insurance, property insurance, life insurance, APF has a panel of reputable insurance companies who are able to offer complimentary insurance products which are necessary to complete property purchases.
Legal, nominee, documentation, lease agreements, conveyancing. APF has a panel of exert property lawyers to facilitate property ownership. APF provides access to an experienced panel of associates who will provide legal, property management, tax and support should this be required. Valuations and surveys can also be arranged via our experienced partners.
